Changes to B2B effective January 1, 2014

The Bridge to Benefits (B2B) website will be updated on Jan. 1, 2014 to include information on and screening for Advanced Premium Tax Credits (APTCs) and the updated eligibility criteria for Medical Assistance (MA) and MinnesotaCare. These changes are part of the full implementation of the Affordable Care Act (ACA). You can get information about the ACA, APTCs and changes to MA and MinnesotaCare, by clicking here.

There will be a webinar for partners at 10 a.m. Wednesday Jan. 8 to review these changes. Registration information will be e-mailed and posted on the website on Jan. 2. The webinar will be recorded, so it will be e-mailed to partners and posted on the site by Friday Jan. 10.

There will be many changes to the screening tool in order to screen for the health care programs under the new rules. The screening tool will include questions to determine tax filing status and Modified Adjusted Gross Income (MAGI). Due to these updates, the health care B2B site will no longer be necessary on Jan. 1. From now until Jan. 1, please continue to use the health care B2B site to determine health care eligibility under the new guidelines effective Jan. 1.

To implement these changes on Jan. 1, B2B may experience some outages a few days before and on Jan. 1. We are trying to keep the outages during non-peak hours, but if you come to the site and it’s down please try again in a couple hours.

Moreover, due to these dramatic changes to the site you may experience some glitches. We are doing extensive testing and vetting of the site, but there is always possibility for issues to arise with changes of this nature. Anytime you get an error message or find inaccurate or unclear information, please contact Stephanie Hogenson at 651-855-1175 or hogenson2cdf-mn.org. Our partners have been valuable resources in improving the site and we appreciate your feedback.

Additionally, by December 31, 2013 please download any B2B reports you will need during the first few weeks of the new year because partner data will not be accessible on the site from Jan. 1 until mid to late January. Read more about accessing partner reports before and after Jan. 1.

Thank you for your patience and feedback while the site is updated.
